STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A drug bust inside a West Brighton home turned
up a treasure trove of pills, weapons and body armor last night, and
landed four men and four women behind bars.
Detectives with
the borough’s NYPD Narcotics Bureau raided a residence at 217 Taylor St.
at about 6:20 p.m., and found the contraband in several rooms,
according to court papers.
In all, police found two
Taser-style stun guns, a handgun, a rifle, two boxes of ammo, two
bulletproof vests, 139 MDMA pills, which is commonly referred to as
ecstasy, six oxycodone pills and one hydrocodone pill, a scale with
powder residue, a marijuana grinder with pot inside of it, and two
marijuana cigarettes, police allege.
The suspects who were
home at the time include: Dominique (Dom) Terry, 24; Franklin (Frank)
Terry, 35; Derick (Dirk) Terry, 26; Sasha (Sassy) McDuffie, 20; Toniann
(Tano) Vaiano, 27; Janet (Janny) Croom, 42; Robert (Robby) White, 43;
and Trina (Tricky) White, 41.
All face a variety of drug and
weapon possession charges, including third-degree criminal possession of
a controlled substance with intent to sell, according to Peter N.
Spencer, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
Franklin
and Dominique Terry, as well as Ms. Croom, have past criminal
convictions, meaning they also face felony charges in relation to the
weapons found, according to court papers.
