8 arrested in West Brighton drug bust that yields pills, weapons, cops say

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A drug bust inside a West Brighton home turned up a treasure trove of pills, weapons and body armor last night, and landed four men and four women behind bars.
Detectives with the borough’s NYPD Narcotics Bureau raided a residence at 217 Taylor St. at about 6:20 p.m., and found the contraband in several rooms, according to court papers.
In all, police found two Taser-style stun guns, a handgun, a rifle, two boxes of ammo, two bulletproof vests, 139 MDMA pills, which is commonly referred to as ecstasy, six oxycodone pills and one hydrocodone pill, a scale with powder residue, a marijuana grinder with pot inside of it, and two marijuana cigarettes, police allege.
The suspects who were home at the time include: Dominique (Dom) Terry, 24; Franklin (Frank) Terry, 35; Derick (Dirk) Terry, 26; Sasha (Sassy) McDuffie, 20; Toniann (Tano) Vaiano, 27; Janet (Janny) Croom, 42; Robert (Robby) White, 43; and Trina (Tricky) White, 41.
All face a variety of drug and weapon possession charges, including third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, according to Peter N. Spencer, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
Franklin and Dominique Terry, as well as Ms. Croom, have past criminal convictions, meaning they also face felony charges in relation to the weapons found, according to court papers.
