park hill Emanuel Parker on the run for rape

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- He repaid her hospitality by raping her in her sleep, police say, and more than a year later, he's still at large.
Prosecutors are asking the public for held finding 24-year-old Emanuel Parker, and District Attorney Daniel Donovan has labeled him as one of the borough's most wanted fugitives in a crimefighting initiative promoted by the Advance.

The allegations against Parker are beyond disturbing -- on Jan. 8 of last year, he and his girlfriend were houseguests in an apartment in six-story 320 Vanderbilt Ave., one of the buildings in the Park Hill Apartments in Clifton.
His host was the girlfriend's aunt, who was 37 at the time, and when the woman's husband left for work that morning, police say Parker pounced on her.
"These people take him into their home, and he rapes this woman after her husband leaves," Donovan said.
She was still asleep when he got on top of her and started having sex with her, prosecutors allege.
When the woman awoke to realize Parker wasn't her husband, she started struggling. So Parker shoved her face into a pillow and continued his assault, prosecutors said.
The woman screamed, and her niece and son ran into the room to stop him, but Parker rushed out of the apartment and escaped.
In August, authorities issued a warrant for Parker's arrest, on charges of first and third-degree rape, but he still hasn't been found.
Parker, a Liberian native, goes by multiple names, including Wesley Roberts and Emanuel Logan, according to prosecutors.
His last-known address was 180 Park Hill Ave., though he also has lived at 225 Park Hill Ave., prosecutors said. Based on some tips received by authorities, he may have fled to the Minneapolis area of Minnesota.
The Advance first featured Donovan's 10 most wanted fugitives in a Feb. 20 feature story.
Just two weeks later, one of the suspects -- Travis Jones, 21, who was wanted in connection with a 2008 shooting -- turned himself in. The suspect's defense lawyer said at his arraignment that he surrendered after seeing his face in the Advance.
Since the story first ran, Donovan said his office has received a dozen "substantiated" tips, legitimate information that have helped investigators get closer to finding the fugitives.
"On Parker alone, we've received three tips," he said, adding that his office received another three tips on Peter Fam, one of the 10, whom the Advance featured in a March 7 story. Fam has been at large since blowing off a re-sentencing in a 2006 sex case after he was re-arrested in connection with a 2008 stabbing.
Anyone with information about Parker or any of the remaining fugitives' whereabouts is asked to call the Richmond County District Attorney's Tip Line at 718-556-7030.
Tipsters can remain anonymous. Donovan's office is offering a $1,000 reward for any tip that leads to an arrest.
