on with their lives relatively quickly after being arrested...
The average arrest-to-arraignment time for suspects taken into custody on the borough was 23.23 hours, according to a report in the New York Post.
The city average was more than 25 hours in custody, despite an order to arraign prisoners within 24 hours of arrest.
Only Queens posted a shorter arraignment time -- an average of 20.13, according to the report.
The Bronx clocked in at 29.44 hours, Manhattan at 25.38 hours and Brooklyn at 27.36 hours.
