STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- An early morning, post-Thanksgiving shooting left three people wounded at a Stapleton nightspot.
The NYPD said that shots were fired at 3:35 a.m. yesterday morning in the At Da' Game nightclub at 373 Van Duzer St.
Police
said that none of the victims was likely to die, but that one, a
26-year-old man, was shot "several" times and was taken by Emergency
Medical Service to Richmond University Medical Center.
A
22-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder and went to Staten Island
University Hospital, Ocean Breeze, by private means. A 20-year-old man
was shot once in the stomach and went to Richmond University Medical
Center, also by private means, police said.
Pete King, an
employee of the Full Cup, also on Van Duzer Street, said he heard six
shots from his neighboring apartment. "I heard someone screaming that
they got shot in the arm and when I looked out my window I just saw
everyone running away."
Police did not know what sparked the
shooting at the club, which used to be known as Martini Red, or how many
perpetrators were involved. No arrests have been made.
The NYPD did not release the names of the victims.
