STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Port Richmond drug felon is in trouble with the law again — over illegal narcotics, prosecutors allege.
Janard Williams, 27, of Crittenden Place was arrested yesterday at 12:25 p.m. at Blackford and Nicholas avenues in his community.
Williams was driving a car, when officers pulled him over for not wearing a seat belt.
A computer check allegedly showed the suspect’s driver’s license had been suspended five times.
Inside the vehicle cops found crack cocaine in a sandwich bag and more than two dozen small, plastic bags containing marijuana, said court papers.
Williams was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of criminal drug possession. He’s also accused of marijuana possession and aggravated unlicensed vehicle operation.
Advance records show the suspect was sentenced in June 2005 to a year in jail on a felony drug conviction. He was previously convicted in July 2000 of felony drug possession.
