Cops arrived on the scene a little after 3 a.m. today. STATEN ISLAND, New York -- Police are chasing a suspect wanted for the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man in Mariners Harbor early today.
The man, described as a "male, black" wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans, reportedly ran into a house at 80 Roxbury Street and police have called a Level 1 mobilzation at Brabant Street and Lockman Avenue. Dozens of police officers are on the scene, according to an account from the scene.
The shooting happened on Lockman near Brabant a little after 3 a.m., according to police.
The identity of the victim, described only as black, has not yet been released.
No arrests have been made at this time.
