'Serious' drug dealer from Stapleton arrested, authorities say

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Cops arrested a "serious" drug dealer yesterday after finding at least $21,000 worth of heroin in his apartment, said a law enforcement source.
Investigators from the NYPD’s Narcotics Bureau Staten Island and the district attorney’s office targeted Marcel Bullock, 34, based on intelligence developed about his illicit activities, said a law-enforcement source.
At about 3:35 p.m., officers saw the suspect leaving his Gordon Street home. He had 79 bags of heroin on his person, said the source.
Armed with a warrant, investigators entered his apartment and found 1,066 plastic bags of heroin, two small bags of crack cocaine, two small bags of marijuana, 41 pills of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and $4,000 in cash, said the source.
The heroin has a street value of at least $21,000, and possibly much more, depending on its quality, the source said.
"This is a significant quantity for one dealer to have," said the source. "Based on his history, he’s a serious drug dealer."
Bullock was previously convicted on felony drug charges on Staten Island in 1994 and in Westchester County in 2005, according to online state court records. He received respective prison sentences of one to three years and two to four years. He also was sentenced in 1996 to two to four years behind bars for a weapon-possession conviction in the borough.
