Armed man robs West Brighton Subway sandwich shop, flees with $100
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a sandwich shop in West Brighton.
At about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man wearing a black bandana across his face and a gray sweatshirt flashed a black firearm before swiping about $100 from the register at Subway, 612 Forest Ave., police said.
The suspect was described as slim and standing about 5 feet, 8 inches.
He fled on foot eastbound in the direction of Victory Boulevard.
