An overnight deli worker was stabbed early this morning in West Brighton, according to police reports.
The unidentified victim was working at Frank's Around the Clock Deli on the 400 block of Forest Avenue when the incident happened at 3:03 a.m.
The man's injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to a police spokesperson, and the store has re-opened for business.
Additional details about the incident were not available.
The stabbing comes less than a month after a pair of Mariners Harbor residents were arrested for a stabbing just two blocks from that location.
Around 9 p.m. on Jan. 25 at the intersection of Forest and Hart Boulevard, police say that Shalanda Knight, 36, of the 100 block of Brabant Street, approached an unidentified 55-year-old woman, punched her in the face and tried to steal her purse.
During the struggle, police allege, Ms. Knight stabbed the woman in the hand with an unspecified object. Her injuries were not serious, authorities said.
Ms. Knight fled in a black Toyota Camry, driven by Andre Jackson, 44, of Downey Place, police said. The car sped off, but police searched the area, then located and arrested both suspects, police said.
Ms. Knight and Mr. Jackson were both charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
