New Brighton teen accused of snatching chain from victim's neck

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Police say a teenager from New Brighton is responsible for a chain snatching in West Brighton.
Romickio Richardson, 17, of Daniel Low Terrace, who goes by the nicknames “Prince” and “Meek,” yanked the necklace from a victim’s neck at the corner of Broadway and Cary Avenue about 5:30 p.m. June 28, police allege.

Richardson was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
