Man shot in Mariners Harbor, suit-clad perp flees on foot

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A man wearing a suit shot another man at the intersection of Doreen Drive and Wilcox Street in Mariners Harbor, according to police. The victim is likely to die, police said.

The suspect, described by police as being "Hispanic or Italian" fled on foot up Wilcox. He had spiky hair and was wearing a charcoal-colored suit.

The 31-year-old victim was shot twice; once in the neck and once in the chest. He is being transported by Richmond University Medical Center.

Police stopped a man on Wilcox and Heather Court but he was apparently not the suspect and cops are still looking for the shooter.
