I would like to say a Big THANK YOU to the ALMIGHTY for my life and for using me to do good works! I would like to thank the big HIM for sending people like my staff and performers for turning up at our show despite the fact that there was a last minute cancellation by the executive director of the venue due to man-made confusion/challenges aka fear of crowd control-which we overcame at the end! We pulled it through despite all odds! It was a great success just like many other events that we have organized in the past !organized to simply bring this beautiful community together with one voice to STOP SELF HATRED among us and to allow ourselves be excellent role models to our upwardly mobile youth. If we come together like this more often and run things smoothly and as planned, we could really make our community a better one. Be it Art gallery openings, fundraisers or any other event, we need to come harder and do the right thing. Regardless of the cancellation of the Life Center event and financial losses- which will be sorted out in a legal way- I am thankful to everyone who still helped pull this event together. This is exactly how we should handle things in case of any future mishaps. We will always have a backup plan! Thanks to the Police Department for providing a stationed car with some brothers who could speak the language.And also expressing their interest in supporting the event so long as the venue was willing to move forward.and when the venue decided not to on the negotiation table they offered a car to be stationed to inform the concert goers of the new venue for this we thank you and encourage you to work even harder to improve community relationship.
We still made a remarkable impact on the crowd with the help of special guests: Bad Boy artist(es), Red Cafe , Capadonna /WuTang Clan , Staten Island All Stars , Shyheim. My team at Notes Lounge(over 20 people), security, Dre Bummies, Mex(an outstanding individual), Rebel Ins Velour(Bam!), all the DJs, promoters(2 many 2 list), Medina, Okenfe Lebarty(QNS Assembly),Flow and Crew :We pulled it off once again!
To him who breached our contract 24 hours to the event for reasons best known to you, what can I say? Stop stereotyping your own people and try to reach out to those good people in the Hood-that should be your real job, you ought to know better! I have advised many times that help is needed in the Hood and not within the walls of your comfort zone. Christ was never in any comfort zone in His short life! Try to do something better during YOUR own short lifetime. Remember: LIFE"S SHORT AND THE ALMIGHTY RULES! MEN ONLY GOVERN!! AYE!!!!!
