STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In an unrelated incident Thursday on Holland
Avenue, cops arrested a man on gun and marijuana charges during a raid
of a 10th-floor apartment.
Tariek Atkinson, 20, was arrested about 6:30 a.m.
Officers
found a defaced .9mm Luger and a 10-chamber magazine containing six
bullets inside a bag in a bedroom, court papers stated. Prosecutors
classified the gun as an assault weapon.
Cops also seized a bag of pot from the suspect, those documents said.
Atkinson
was charged with three felony counts of weapon possession for allegedly
having a defaced gun, an assault weapon and a large-capacity ammunition
feeding device. He’s also accused of marijuana possession.
