Cops: Love triangle leads to stabbing in Stapleton
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - A Brooklyn man stuck a kitchen knife into the neck of a romantic rival over the weekend, police allege.
Police say Michael Carson, 26, had gotten into an argument with another man over a woman on Saturday morning, and visited him at his Hill Street home in Stapleton.
The visit was supposed to be to "discuss" the matter, a law enforcement source said, but it turned violent, and Carson stabbed the man in the abdomen, arm and neck.
He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where doctors were able to remove the knife from his neck, police said.
Carson was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, said Peter N. Spencer, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
He was arraigned in Stapleton Criminal Court, and as of last night, he was being held on Rikers Island on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

(staten island )Little Samyah Bailey, who lost eye in shooting, does not have safe place to go, family says

Michael Bailey carries daughter Samyah out of hospital. "We don't want to go back," said Michael Bailey as he cradled his 20-month-old daughter, Samyah. "We don't have nowhere to go. They want us to go back to the same area. That's foul. That's not right."
Samyah was sitting in her stroller licking a lollipop in the crowded courtyard at the Arlington Terrace Apartments last week when a beef about a young woman erupted in gunplay. The tot was shot in the head.
Bailey said authorities have not made good on promises to relocate them in another city-owned facility if they helped finger the 19-year-old suspect. "They all said they was gonna help us," Bailey said. "The police said it, the DA. ...Now she's getting released from the hospital and nobody's helping us."
He said the family would stay with a relative until it can find a new place to live.
Peter Spencer, spokesman for the Richmond County district attorney, said officials were working on it.
"Samyah's mother applied for relocation assistance with our office Tuesday, and we are working to facilitate that request," he said.
Bailey carried his daughter out through the revolving doors at Richmond University Medical Center after her miraculous recovery from brain and eye surgery.
The tot, dressed in a black-and-white striped top, pink vest, jeans and sneakers, appeared a little groggy as she sucked on her pink bottle.
The left side of her head was shaved and a semicircle of stitches ran from the top of her ear to above her left eye. There were also stitches across the bridge of her nose.
"She was anxious to get out of there and leave the hospital," said her dad, who was wearing a white T-shirt with "We Love You Miracle Baby" written on the back.
Michael Bailey Sr. just wants his granddaughter safe.
"I just want to see my granddaughter put somewhere safe where she can feel safe, where she can go outside and play without fear of being shot," he said.

troy Davis execution delayed as Georgia waits for Supreme Court ruling
Georgia inmate Troy Davis is scheduled to be executed Wednesday for the 1989 murder of Mark MacPhail, an off-duty Savannah police officer. Supporters have sought to prevent the execution, saying seven of the nine witnesses against him have recanted or contradicted their testimony.
The execution was scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, but the state of Georgia has delayed it because the Supreme Court hasn't yet ruled on a request from Davis' lawyers to issue a stay.Follow the latest developments here:
[Updated at 7:43 p.m.] After a brief moment of jubilation upon hearing that the execution hasn't yet happened, Davis' supporters – who have gathered outside the grounds of the prison where he is being held – are regrouping and talking about what might be next, CNN's Emma Lacey-Bordeaux reports. "Troy Davis can never die" is a common theme.
The state of Georgia isn't proceeding with the execution until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on Davis' request for a stay. Davis' attorneys filed the request about an hour before Davis' scheduled 7 p.m. execution.
Davis' supporters, who had been chanting, are now letting out cheers as drivers pass and honk their horns. Otherwise, the mood is tense as they wait for a development, Lacey-Bordeaux reports.
[Updated at 7:26 p.m.] The state of Georgia hasn't yet proceeded with the execution of Troy Davis, because it is waiting for the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on his request for a stay, CNN's Bill Mears reports.
Davis had been scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. ET. His attorneys filed a motion asking the Supreme Court for a stay about an hour before the scheduled execution time.
[Updated at 7:06 p.m.] Inside the grounds of the prison where Davis is scheduled to be executed, about 100 people, including Davis' sister, have formed a tight circle and are praying and singing, CNN's Gustavo Valdes reports.
[Updated at 6:32 p.m.] Davis' attorneys have filed a motion with the U.S. Supreme Court, asking for a stay of execution, the court has said. No decision yet.

Staten island black nigga arrested for robbing rich white people on bay street
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Police have pegged a recently released ex-convict from Elm Park as the second man involved in a string of muggings along a St. George waterfront esplanade.
One of the muggings ended in a severe beating, with the victim suffering a broken jaw and nose, according to prosecutors.
Police say McCormick and John Glick, 19, of Queens, committed two robberies on Aug. 31, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., and a third on Sept. 1, at 3:20 p.m., relieving the victims of cash, cell phones and, in one instance, a portable DVD player.
Glick was arrested on Sept. 2, McCormick this past Thursday.
Residents of the apartment complex have long expressed concerns about security along the poorly lit, often-desolate plaza they use to return home after debarking the ferry.
One victim told the Advance that a “spotter” identified him as a likely victim and pointed him out to two men lurking on the esplanade, who then descended, brandishing a knife, but police have said they’re not certain a spotter was involved in the muggings.
McCormick faces multiple counts of first-, second- and third-degree robbery, as well as two counts of second-degree assault, said Peter N. Spencer, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
It’s not the first time McCormick has been linked to a mugging — police arrested him and a second suspect in August 2008, accusing them of robbing someone at knifepoint in Mariners Harbor, then fleeing on bicycles.
McCormick was convicted of third-degree robbery and sentenced to one and one-third to four years in prison the following January, and was conditionally released on parole this past April.
He was arraigned Friday in Stapleton Criminal Court and remains held on $100,000 bail until his next court date, tomorrow.
Officers have arrested Elijah McCormick, 22, of the 100 block of Winant Street, charging him in connection with three armed robberies along the walkway that connects the St. George Ferry Terminal to the Bay Street Landing apartment complex.

Have Mean Girls Evelyn Lozada And Jennifer Williams Finally Turned On Each Other??
Who didn’t see this day coming?
On Sunday, in the midst of all of her birthday gratitude, Jennifer Williams tweeted some subliminal isht that might have flown under the radar:
Then she threw out this gem, which most people who care about such things automatically assumed was about her Reality TV BFF Evelyn Lozada.
Ever the one to let herself be amped up by the words of “non mothereffin’ factors,” Ev allowed Twitter instigators to bait her into a response.
And, of course, Jennifer being who she is, attempted to clean her side of the situation up QUICK…
Check Out Some Shots From Draya’s Sexy Lingerie Shoot

This week on Basketball Wives L.A., we got to see what Draya does for a living. No, she’s not stripping anymore (but so what if she does?), but she still finds ways to show off her body, which she’s proud of. We would be too if we looked like that, honestly. So what better way to show it off than on the cover of a magazine? Draya worked it, showed sexy, made love to the camera, etc. and we took a few stills of her efforts.

Kreayshawn Covers Complex: Talks Slapping Up The Game, The N-Word & Pimping Chicks On Craigslist Read more: Kreayshawn Covers Complex: Talks Slapping Up The Game, The N-Word & Pimping Chicks On Craigslist
Is Kreayshawn a ‘G’? Before snagged a million dollar deal with Columbia Records and beefing with the likes of rappers Rick Ross and The Game, she was out in the streets pimping bishes, literally. She’s covering the new October/November issue of Complex magazine and inside, she talks about her friend V-Nasty’s constant use of the n-word, her former hustle of pimping girls on Craigslist as well as wanting to slap Game in the face.
On the use of the N-Word
Why do I keep getting dissed and gotta ignore it like nothing is going on? I’ve never said it one time in my motherf*cking life… Everyone thinks I’m Vanessa [V-Nasty] and I have to answer [for her actions] every day in every f*cking interview.”
I’ve sat down and had talks with [V-Nasty], like, ‘Please, if you took this word out of your vocabulary, it would help your career. It would really help mine.’ She’s just been like, ‘This is who I am. This is how I was raised. I’m not gonna change for anybody,’ and I respect that. She doesn’t have to listen to me.”
On her former career of dealing coke and pimping girls out on Craigslist
I quit IKEA and started trapping full-time. I was driving around in a pink Mustang at two in the morning, no license, with like two 15s in the trunk, serving knots. Then these girls I met, they were on their hustle, too. They brought me this new idea, it was safer than selling drugs. I posted the links for them, took the anonymous pictures, and set up the dates and prices.”
On Game saying he’s going to put a rifle in her face because of the n-word situation
“I’m going to say, ‘Game’s a weak ass Blood, he ain’t about to do sh*t.
[After manager tries to step in] “Am I just supposed to get dissed every day and be a weak ass little white b*tch? F*ck that sh*t. I’m tired of people disrespecting me.”

Audio: Fabolous Speaks On Incident With Ray J In Las Vegas
When Ray J called Power 105.1 this morning, he told The Breakfast Club that only DJ Clue could squash his beef with Fabolous. Well this evening,
The Jay-Z vs. Lil Wayne Beef Continues!
Many critics didn't believe Jay-Z would respond to Weezy's diss on his "I'm Good" track, but when you threaten to kidnap someone's "bitch", I think a response is inevitable.
Jay fires off a warning shot on J. Cole's new track "Mr. Nice Watch". He doesn't diss Weezy per se, but he definitely lets him know he's ready to go to war.
"Y'all ni**as need a timeout, who got these ni**as all wind up/Co*ksucka I'm 7.30, y'all know where you'll ni**as gon wind up/No more Mr Nice Guy, hello Mr Nice Watch/Only but a matter of time 'fore I hit ya'll ni**as with a nice shot/Y'all ni**as, better not call the law/Get no blood on my Audemar/Meaning ya'll better not waste my time/When y'all ready I'll take you all to war."
It will be interesting to see how hard Hov goes in on Wayne when Jay's new album drops later this year.
Shooting of baby in Mariners Harbors leads cops to cache of weapons in nearby home
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Cops searching for the suspect who shot a toddler Wednesday in Mariners Harbor allegedly found illegal weapons in a nearby home.
Authorities allege Damark King was looking to settle a score when he fired at least five rounds in the courtyard at the Arlington Terrace Apartments complex. One wayward bullet hit 21-month-old Samyah Bailey in the face. The little girl, who was in stroller, survived, but has lost an eye.
The search for King led cops to a driveway between two homes on Christopher Street, a few blocks from the shooting site.
Officers saw the door to one residence was ajar, said a law enforcement source. Inside, they observed a number of weapons, the source said.
Police obtained a warrant, and on returning, discovered two .22 caliber handguns — one of whose serial number had been defaced — and a .19 caliber handgun, court records said. They also found rifles, according to the source.
None of those weapons were used in the shooting, the source said. Authorities allege King, 19, shot the child with a 9mm handgun. That weapon was found in the other home on the shared driveway, said the source.
Police charged two residents in the house where the multiple guns were found: Joseph Raguso, 48, and Sean Farrell, 50.
According to cops, Farrell told them he owned the handguns. He said carried them with an expired pistol license from Arizona to New York to sell to Raguso, said police.
The suspects were each charged with two felony counts of criminal weapon possession, said a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.

Wiz Khalifa On Amber Rose Nude Pics
Once again, nude photos of Wiz’s main squeeze have hit the ‘net. In an interview with Sister 2 Sister, Wiz discussed the numerous leaks.
I could see if that was what she was doing while I’m with her or something like that and it was in a disrespectful way, but it’s nothing like that. It’s not even, like, the pictures or her past is a raunchy past. She did what she had to do. There’s plenty of powerful women who overcame that, and that’s what she really is, an example of what work and faith in God, you know what I’m saying, can get you into a positive situation. You can make a positive out of a negative.freshalina
The biggest misconception about Amber is that she wants attention. Everybody thinks that she does stuff for attention and that she loves attention, but she’s really, really reserved and shy. She just gets attention ’cause she’s dope.”
man who killed staten island resident Robert Jenkins dies in jail
Staten Island Advance/Michael Oates
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Maryland man accused of choking a West Brighton man to death seven months ago has died in prison, prosecutors said. Ronald Jones, 55, suffered a fatal heart attack on Rikers Island, where he was being held awaiting trial for the killing of Robert Jenkins, according to documents filed in state Supreme Court, St. George.
Jones’ death certificate lists his cause of death as “hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with myocardial infarcts,” according to a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
Jones died Aug. 16, recent court filings stated.
Prosecutors allege Jones fatally beat and choked Jenkins, 68, a well-liked fixture in his community, on Feb. 26, inside the victim’s Wayne Street home.
Jones, who lived in Essex, Md., told police he was in town visiting his hospitalized mother, a Staten Islander.
A law enforcement source said Jones and Jenkins, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, had been friends for years, although several of the victim’s family members told the Advance they didn’t know the suspect.
According to the source, Jenkins’ son, Thomas Jenkins, had seen his father and Jones together, drinking cognac, on the night of the slaying.
When he returned to his father’s home around midnight, the elder Jenkins was lifeless and bloody on the floor, with Jones passed out next to him, his arm around the body, the source said.
Jenkins was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, where he was pronounced dead.
Jones admitted to beating Jenkins, knocking him unconscious, then sitting atop him and continuing to beat him, prosecutors said at the suspect’s arraignment in Stapleton Criminal Court, two days after the killing.
They did not provide a motive.
Jones was charged with second-degree murder and other crimes.
The case is now closed due to his death, prosecutors said.

Damark King, 19, was arrested for spraying the area with bullets from his 9 mm handgun. He has been charged first-degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment and two counts of criminal weapon possession. Dr. Rene Chalom said that if the position of Samyah’s head had been "slightly different" at the time of the shooting, "we could have seen a tragically different outcome" with a "penetrating injury to the brain."
"I believe in my heart that there was some kind of miracle to this story," he said.
None of Samyah’s family members attended the press conference with doctors.
Family members cried for vengeance at King’s court appearance, shouting out that the punishment should be "an eye for an eye."
