Drug bust results in 5 arrests in West Brighton

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A drug bust in a West Brighton apartment netted police more than a pound of marijuana and five arrests, authorities said.

Narcotics detectives used a search warrant to raid apartment 56 of 78 Henderson Ave. at about 8 p.m. Friday. Inside, they found several bags of marijuana in the kitchen and the bedroom, court papers allege.

The apartments’ five occupants — Denise McDonald, 48, Derrick and Eric Sprinkler, both 29, Donald Harvie, 47 and Bruce Prince, 28 — all face charges of second-, third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
