Stapleton man accused of sexually abusing friend

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A 49-year-old Stapleton man is accused of sexually abusing a male friend Sunday in the suspect’s apartment.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. while Trevor Palmer, and the 42-year-old victim were having dinner and watching TV in Palmer’s Irving Place home, said a law enforcement source.
Palmer allegedly forced himself on the victim, court papers said.
The suspect told authorities the sex was consensual, said the source.
Palmer was arrested Wednesday and charged with misdemeanor counts of sexual misconduct, attempted sexual misconduct and forcible touching.
